Inline with the new Data Protection regulations I thought I ought to outline what information I collect, and how it’s used.  The short answer is not a whole lot!  If you comment on a post, WordPress records your email address and IP address as standard. I don’t use this for anything, (unless you have requested a response) and don’t transfer it to my mailing list.

If you do decide to sign up to my mailing list, the information I gather is… wait for it… your email address.  That is it.  It’s all I need to send you emails, so it’s all I collect.  The plugin I use to collect the email addresses also tells me what country you are from.  I don’t use this information for anything. All you will get from me then is newsletters (that’s what you’re signing up for), which I send out when something interesting happens, or if I have a new release.  I aim for once a quarter, but sometimes it’s longer (writing books takes a long time!).  I store your information securely, and will never give it to anyone else or sell it.  If you request to be removed from my mailing list you will be deleted, your information removed.  If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
